The interior is gorgeous! Also, the home is lovely! A very beautiful home.
The only negative I can see is that it’s quite close to the road – but it’s a fantastic estate as far as I’m concerned

The home is actually located in a private community, so traffic is obviously very limited. I’ve driven in the community and by this home dozens of times; in person the home’s scale is HUGE and the community it is in is considered one of the nicest in South Florida. It is also my dream community!

The house looks beautiful from the outside. It’s not exactly anything special since Mediterranean-style waterfront houses in south Florida aren’t exactly unusual. I don’t mind that it’s close to the road since this is how a lot of waterfront houses in SoFL are.

I don’t like the interior at all. The scale and size of the rooms does look nice, but not only are the kitchens and baths out of date but the bones of the house are very dated; the moldings, doors, columns, etc. It wouldn’t be a simple matter or just redecorating; the interior needs to be gutted and rebuilt. The layout is excellent, which is surprising for a house built in 1972. In fact, I can’t see a single thing about the layout that I’d want to change.

As for the price, I’m not sure I agree with you Daniel. The owner paid $7.35 million almost 5 years ago, before “the bubble” burst. Now that the market is much lower the seller wants 1/3 more for a house that needs some major updating…? I realize that the location is superb and that there’s a similarly sized empty lot with an asking price about $2 million higher, but that lot does front the Intracoastal.

I think this was the first time on HOTR that I looked through all the photos of a feature and liked all of them. This house merits more than its asking price. Hell if I had the money I would pay double if not triple of what they’re asking. I don’t see anything wrong or that needs to be updated. This house has got to be the nicest house that’s gone on the market in a very long time. What a steal.

Not something special in my opinion…

The exterior is not impressive. The interior certainly is nice in most of the rooms,
but I have seen much better.I love, however, the spacious living room.
