Lisa Vanderpump is currently a housewife on Bravo’s hit reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Her husband, Kenneth Todd, is a British restaurateur. They live in the guard gated community of Beverly Park in Beverly Hills, CA. They live right across from the street from fellow cast-mate Adrienne Maloof and her plastic surgeon husband Paul Nassif.

Lisa’s home is located at 50 Beverly Park Way and is brokered by her cast-mate Kyle Richards’ husband. The home is roughly 15,000 square feet and was designed by renowned architect Richard Landry. It boasts a porte-cochere, 7 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, wine cellar with tasting room, two offices, billiards room, impeccably manicured grounds, gardens, swimming pool, tennis court, topiaries, meandering paths and much more. It is listed at $29,000,000.

Well, Guys…………..While the exterior of the house is beautiful, the gardens & pool are Truly Exquisite, and the exterior color scheme lovely, I think the interior is entirely too “avant-garde’-modern”, if you get my drift.

Normally I never have this problem, but I can’t imagine what that house would look like inside with less stylized and “faddish” furniture in there. (Consider the occupants, hence the interior “style”) So much of it is mirrored/white & white & white & white, that I find it seemingly insurmountable. And the LIVING ROOM……HELLO…..has colorful interior paint been outlawed in the state of California recently and I didn’t hear about it? Also, that room looks alarmingly small, and is way too full of large furniture……..it definitely needs a big ol’ hunk of breathing room, stat! And naturally the place is PSYCHOTICALLY OVERPRICED.

I agree with your opinions on the interior; when watching the show, I was even thinking to myself, “This interior has too much white and the living room is too small!”

I cannot understand why some people are criticizing this home— it’s NOT like they can or will purchase it!!! Furthermore, for those critics, why don’t YOU post pics of YOUR houses & let everyone have a ‘go’ at it? This is THEIR house, they may decorate it to their liking! If they want to paint it in purple & polka dots, they can! As far as the ignorant comments about more ‘natural’ hedges & landscaping: ughhh, have you heard of a formal English Garden? It’s highly structured, shaped & manicured!!! It is an overall LOVELY home where a LOVELY couple lives!!! As far as price/appraisal value, look at the comps! BH & Bel Aire properties are much higher. Bottom line, try to be polite when commenting on other’s possessions. You are not very nice people with ghastly manners !!!

Ummmmmm…….My Dear……while your observations are and regard for these people are obviously sincere and you’re possibly a personal friend……this is the INTERNET. It is a WORLD-WIDE sounding board for people to write whatever they want to! It’s called “Public Domain” for a reason……I strongly suggest you look the term up.

Ah you want to make a condescending remark you begin it with “my dear.” I am sure this person knows what the internet is and what public domain is. Perhaps what SLA knows that you obviously do not, bashing because you can cheapens you and makes your remarks less than … well … of any substance. My mother always told me don’t try to walk in someone else’s shoes unless the shoes fit. I think the house is spectacular and the parts I don’t I won’t comment on because I can not now nor never will I be able to afford it. To each their own. To the bashers, bash on. Your intelligence is alarmingly yet entertaining.

I grew up in Beverly Park. The neighborhood where Lisa and Ken live in this home. They have since sold this home and moved to a smaller 10,000 sqft home near by. My Parents home is just one street over from this house in Beverly park. Beverly park is considered the most exclusive neighborhood in Beverly Hills. It is much more expensive than Bel Air and Holmby Hills. As far as guard gated neighborhoods go. Lisa’s home is lovely, but at 15,000 sqft it is one of the smaller homes within the neighborhood. All homes built in Beverly Park must have a minimum square footage of 15000 sqft as of 2011. It is a beautiful home, that is certain.

For some reason, the exterior feels cheap to me, as if it was one of those fake buildings you see on a movie set or something. I can’t put my finger on what exactly it is…

Inside is a little too shabby chic for me. While the furnishings are classy and it is a livable home, I think Lisa was given WAAAY too much power over the design of the home. It all comes off as extremely feminine. I do like the black billiards room though. Personally I’d incorporate Ralph Lauren’s Brook Street Collection into this home. ***DEFINITELY*** worth a look:

    http://www.ralphlaurenhome.com/collection/2010_Fall/brook_street/

My favorite part though is the Bentley Azure and Rolls-Royce Phantom. YES PLEASE!

Love the collection except for those armchairs (BLAH!), however, from the looks of it, I think incorporating that into this home would be a bit of a clash, don’t you think? The white-walled interior of this home, just doesn’t seem inviting to this collection.

I wish the half of you would be quite. People have different taste, she’s probably going for that modern contemparary look. Remember, this is a beverly hills estate and the walls don’t matter, I like it as well as her furniture. When most of you get a house like this do what you want to do with it, if you can afford a house like this. Until then, keep your comments to yourself.

i hate to admit this, but this is one of me and my wife’s guilty pleasures. I loved this home from the first episode (the interior needs an overhaul, though) and I hope they aren’t in financial troubles, they seemed like the only sane couple on the show.

Kenny you have me laughing so hard. My mom saw the show for the first time and ask why did Taylor have so much work done on her lips. She was too distracted by her lips to even hear anything the woman said. As for the house it’s ncie but they aren’t gonna get 29 mil, more like 9 mil prob

I wish one of the other ones would just deck her one time.
Taylor is OK even though her lips are terrible.
The Maloofs have always been nice.
Their cousin was my roommate in university’s best friend and he and his family were always very nice.
I like Paris’s aunts also, they are not bad and pretty down to Earth and the blonde one is sweet and kind of dumb. lol

Only thing I didn’t like about Lisa was how she makes fun of Taylor’s husband for his looks. I mean, the man obviously isn’t Brad Pitt, but he can’t help how he was born. Also I disagree with her about how she can’t believe it was Taylor who approached her husband, instead of the other way around. I mean obviously she married him probably for money reasons, as has been pointed out, so no surprise she would have approached him, but also, Taylor, due to her plastic surgery, isn’t exactly that super attractive IMO, so also not surprising he wouldn’t have approached her.

Ha! It’s so funny seeing how different people interpret the same situations.

Camille- looks like I’m on the other side of the fence, but I don’t mind her. Arrogant, yes, but deservedly so. Wouldn’t you be if you had dozens of multi-million dollar properties, had a husband who was raking in $1 million+ per episode and helped recover from addiction? I just think its hilarious how distant she is from her kids…”I have 4 nannies and they rotate.”! Plus, she used a surrogate, didn’t she? HAHAHAHA! And I did notice that accent that goes in and out. I just feel bad for the wife of her “friend” (read: fu*k buddy) Nick. The house is ugly in my opinion. I don’t like how it is built on the sliver of flat land into the hillside. Not for me.

Taylor: I feel bad for her. She’s full of sh*t but I think deep down she does want the best for her kid; her husband, if you can call him that, is a different story. Emotionless prick. And that whole BS about seeing him across the room….please….you saw his AMEX Centurion and *then* him. It could have been Jabba the Hut for all you care. And yes, she reallllllllly went overboard with the plastic surgery. They’re house seems very cozy, but a dime a dozen in that town.

Lisa: I like her. Great one-liners. Great accent. Likable, classy, and very real. I just cannot stand that little pooch they take everywhere. The reservation to Mo Hadid’s place said for 2, not 2 1/3. If I were M. Hadid, I would have chucked the damn thing off the hillside. Speaking of which…I have fallen in love with that house. The scale of it was breathtaking!

Adrienne: I like her as well. A bit crazy with the surgery, but also very real. I love watching the playful bickering between her and her husband. She reminds me of Vicki Gunvalson a bit though, with the work work work mentality. Their home is also very nice, but a lot of it seems tacky. The harp needs to go, asap.

Kim Richards: I feel bad for her. She seems so lost on the show. Ditzy and very naive. She shouldn’t be on this show, she should be on eHarmony selling the sh*t out of herself. And is it me or does she look EXTREMELY tired? Can’t say much about her house, as we haven’t seen it. Fu*king transient. And on a side note: If you’re representing Beverly Hills, please find some other form of transportation besides a 2004 Lincoln Navigator with a burnt-out tail lamp. You’re $15,000 mode of transportation is the worst on the entire series. Borrow one of Paris’ Bentleys for God’s sake and drive up Witch Mountain. Quit telling everyone you’re a has-been child star. Next…

Kyle Richards: A lot of people like her, but personally, I think she’s like that chihuahua in the pet store: cute and gorgeous to look at, but it does not SHUT UP! I was just waiting for Camille to smack the sh*t out of her at that dinner in New York. While I admire Kyle’s authenticity, I think she crosses the line of keeping it classy and moving into bit*h mode. If you don’t like the situation you’re in, remove yourself. Whenever she comes on I mute her segment, because I just like the way she looks. And also, was anyone else expecting someone who sells B. Hills’ finest homes to have a bit more panache and refinement. He just seems like that 18-year old pent up on getting laid. And you would think they could find someplace nicer to live in. I was very unimpressed with their house. Let’s just take a 1970’s Brady Bunch-esque house and make it this swanky vodka bar type setting with the monochromatic color scheme. Can Mauricio not find a short-sale somewhere in Bel-Air?

You are fucking hilarious and spot on Daniel!!!! I agree with everything you said. That is exactly how I feel about each one of them, but you describe them much better haha.

Camille – I MIND her. LOL. She seems too full of herself most of the time and it’s always “me, me, jealous of me”. She said “now don’t judge me, but I have 4 nannies”. ANYONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD JUDGE YOU………….YOU…DO..NOT…HAVE…A….REAL….JOB!!! Take care of your kids yourself.

Taylor – I totally agree. There is no way in hell she saw him from across the room and decided to go talk to him. I do feel like she’s going to seriously regret getting all the plastic surgery and marrying someone who doesn’t seem to “be in love” with her.

Lisa – I love her accent too as well as her one-liners! Hysterical! That dog, like you said, HAS GOT TO GO. Middle-aged women aren’t supposed to be carrying around little chihuahuas; leave that for Paris.

Adrienne – HAHA, she does remind of Vicki!….albeit prettier. I love how her and her husband always bicker too, it’s entertaining. Yes, she does have work done, but I guess that’s what happens when you’re married to a plastic surgeon.

Kim – I feel bad for her too. Yes, she can be ditzy at times, but I think she’s very humble. She’s cute, quirky and down to earth. LOL, Witch Mountain!!! Yeah, I hate how she always brings up that she is a former child star and acts as if though paparazzi are following her and not Paris. Ha! She cracks me up though.

Kyle – She is very attractive (kind of reminds me of Demi Moore). I don’t mind that she’s talkative though. I think she seems like the most genuine and fun cast member out of all of them. I too was unimpressed by her home. Her husband has sold quite a few ultra-high end properties and her sister is married to a gazillionaire, so I thought they would have at least lived in a $5 million+ home.

Oh yeah, the one other part about Lisa that makes me a bit unsure of her is when they were at the airport in a previous episode to board the private jet, and she says to the woman behind the desk, “I know Richard, he’s a personal friend of mine.” UMM…okay…? If you know Richard Branson, why do you need to tell the person behind the desk this…? Just seems a bit pretentious, like she is trying to make herself sound ultra-important or something.

        Daniel,

First of all Camille does not have several multi-million dollar properties, Kelsey does.
She did not earn one penny towards the purchase of those homes.

And as for the getting him through the addiction nonsense she keeps spouting, I am sure his millions of dollars and access to the best counselors and therapists had more to do with that than she did.

She is going to find life is cruel when you go from being Mrs. Somebody to Ms. Nobody overnight. Trust me, I see it with physician’s ex wives all the time.

She will get a lot of money in the divorce but unless she marries another prominent man, she will cease to be important amongst the people in her circle. Her biggest claim to fame in her life and the source of her ego is that she is Kelsey Grammer’s wife and now that is over, what is she now? No one.

        @ Venom,

Probably all true. I just think it is sooo hilarious they are trying to paint her as the next Danielle Staub. From what I see on TV, I like of her. I have no idea what the editing leaves in or out, but I don’t mind her. Is she insecure? Absolutely. Would people know who she is if she wasn’t (formerly) Mrs. Kelsey Grammer? Probably not. But there is something behind all that arrogance and cloud-nine demeanor that I find irresistible. Maybe it’s the boobs, maybe not…

I don’t watch the show so my first exposure to this house is when it went on the market last month. The house in general is not my style and I don’t really like it, but I respect it, if that makes any sense. It’s quirky and for a $29,000,000 house it looks very personal and lived in, as opposed to just being a showplace. It’s way too feminine for my liking, it borders on feeling cluttered, parts of the house itself (not counting any furnishings) look kind of cheap, and there are few things I wouldn’t change if it were mine. But, of all the large houses we’ve seen on this site, I think it has a lot of personality.

very classy Kenny. I love how every other word you used was a curse word. You are just as bad as the housewives, passing judgement on people so easily. I have been a long fan of the site, but this is my first AND last comment, I will no longer be visiting this site. because of your obnoxious, offensive behavior. I also have a twelve year old son who loves this site, and I can no longer allow him to view it because of how much of a horrible role model you are. Think before you act.

Listen Sheree, I don’t need a speech. I used curse words, so what. I’m 20 YEARS OLD, I can do as I please. Yes, I could’ve chosen other words, but I didn’t. “Every other word”??? Exaggerate much? I cursed 3 times. I’m very happy that you’ve been a fan of my site for a long time and I appreciate that. However, It was just 1 POST. Also, I cursed in the comments section, not the actual post itself. I’m actually one of the most non judgmental people you’ll meet. It’s just that they put themselves out there for the world to judge and I was just voicing my honest opinion. How dare you say I’m a horrible role model. I’ve created an extremely popular website from scratch at just 18-years-old. I’d say I’m a pretty good role model. Doing drugs, not going to college and wasting my life, now that would be a bad role model. Cursing 3 times? I don’t think so. I think you better rethink that…….

Sorry you got so offended over something as silly as this.

Besides, you will still come as will your son because where else are you going to get to see these houses and read our awesome commentary? lol

Besides, the curse words are nothing your son has not heard from any movie, HBO, Showtime etc show, his friends and you and your husband when you argue.

Your son is 12, you have a whole lot more stuff to worry about in the next few years than him reading a curse word on a real estate blog….

Sheree, it’s admirable that you want to protect your son from offensive behavior, but if what Kenny wrote is able to corrupt your 12 year old son, life is going to be very challenging for him. He’s 12, not 2. I’m sure he’s seen worse online countless of times, and I would bet the $29,000,000 that this house costs that he’s heard, and spoken, MUCH worse while at school and other times you aren’t around.

If you are truly so offended by what Kenny wrote I fully support you not returning to the blog. Kenny has built a site that clearly many people enjoy. The regular commenters here are generally respectful of each other and, most importantly, generally not judgmental of each other. The way you judged Kenny so quickly, and (as others have pointed out) ironically accused him of being judgmental himself, doesn’t really fit with the existing community.

Sheree, you need to take a chill pill. Kenny is an excellent role model, he works hard and has achieved a lot. I only wish when I have children they’ll be as ambitious and nice as Kenny is. Part of the appeal of the HOTR site is that we’re a community here. We can state our opinions openly and honestly. That’s one of the reasons I love this site so much. Kenny is an excellent admin and we all (ie the users) have a connection on this site, unlike by so many other real estate sites which are just monotonous, impersonal and dull. Yes, maybe he shouldn’t have cursed out of respect for the younger audience, but you’re taking this way too far. You could have made your point politely and I’m sure Kenny would have obliged; he is the best admin that I know. HOTR is amazing and Kenny is a great guy and all of the HOTR regulars have his back on this. You will not be missed Sheree (as far as I can tell you have never left a comment on this site anyway), so please don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Stewie

Also, he is by far not the only one on this site who has also cursed, but you singled out Kenny. This site is a great place where people from around the world can come and voice their opinions openly and honestly about something we all love, luxury real estate. BULL-oney! I’d rather live in a somewhat bigger (maybe 4,000 to 4500 sq. ft., at most), NON-white, renovated-and-decorated by myself to PERFECTION mid-century modern or contemporary ranch with a walk out lower level than ANY of their houses. If not, I’ll take a Guy Dreier designed home, EASY!

BTW, have you seen his website lately? Looks like they’ve added a number of new home galleries, for sure. Make sure to check out the Rancho Santa Fe estate………breathtaking, with a TWENTY-FOURTH-CENTURY look to it.

Saw it, and it is even more bittersweet for me. Something tells me NONE of those homes could be built as-in in S. Florida. Damn hurricanes.

I do know he designed a home in Boca though, but it far from the spectacular Jetson-esque homes featured on his website. Very nice bachelor pad though. Address is 255 SE Spanish Trail, Boca Raton, FL 33432. 8,132 total square-feet. It was listed at $5.25 million but never sold. Enjoy:

            http://media.homestore.com/idx2/HYSH2SDL.htm

The man is incredible. How he designs the homes with so many odd angles and sharp edges is truly remarkable. And not a drop of white in any of them. I wish he would include some aerial shots of the homes though.

Kenny , I think you should do more posts on homes in Beverly Park. Some of them are the nicest homes in all of Beverly Hills.

I have to say that I agree with you guys about the interior. The interior is way too white too me and I really don’t like the furniture. It just doesn’t scream “$29 million house!!” I also think that Lisa probably had the upper hand while designing the interior of the home. As Daniel pointed out, the black billiards room is pretty cool. I also LOVE the grounds with all the formal gardens; a lot more nice than the grounds of Adrienne Maloof’s house (although Adrienne DOES have a pool/guest house)

Wow, saw I the comments, knew 90% of them had to be about something other than the house (overpriced, probably will sell for 15-17 M.) But I never expected such an sh-tstorm. As for the show, never watched it, never will. If I am going to watch mindless TV, I

(Damn this keyboard) I will watch something with more eyecandy, such as young females than a bunch of aging forty somethings trying to cling to relevance.

Kenny dropped an F-bomb, big deal. Any kid reading this blog with interest has got to be old enough (14 or older??) to have already heard his or her share of cusswords, especially if they listen to rap.

Man, some topics really rile up everyone 🙂

There are a few things I do not understand:

They only purchased the home in 2004 for about 15Million.

7 years later, they are selling in a down market for twice that, because, errm, their children no longer live there?

This was a lot of house for 4 people! With the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms, I just do not comprehend.

I am sure on many occasions, there are sleep over guests; but to fill that amount of bedrooms?

Of course, they bought this as in investment property at the height of the market, knowing in a few years that their children would move out. I do not think they saw a down market looming.

    Sad.

I’m sure they can afford to live there, and I would think that they should, otherwise this house will sit on the market or sell for a lot less, they will either break even or lose a bit.

    Cheers.

You are right…it will sit on the market…and one day Kyle will say something to Lisa about not listing the house on the market at a reasonable price and wasting Mauricio’s time and money on a house that won’t sell. Kyle does this all the time….and I am waiting until Mauricio finally says “enough is enough”.

Well, all the comments are great. Taylor is full of it, and should be stuffed like her lips,She wants the lifestyle, but has the wrong husband…a tradeoff. Kyle needs to wake up and realize shes holding hands with a liar liar pants on fire. Addrienne needs to not pull the diplomacy card, and rightfully put all the pitbulls in their place. Kim needs to go to the land of oz and ask the wizard for a spoonful of courage to wooop Miss Oklahoma, so to speak{Taylor}. Lisa…well now shes lovely, She needs to have a cup of tea, and some British Spotted Dick/…..Pudding…hmmmm

well i dont get why everyone is talking about the show on this page… STFU if youre not going to talk about the house… this is Homes of the Rich not a blog to talk about stupid TV shows…. now as for the house (which is after all why were all reading this page) i think its beautiful!! i love, love, love the exterior and the grounds are amazing.. the amount of landscaping it must take to keep this place beautiful is mind-boggling but it is beautiful no doubt about that. its almost a little too over the top on landscaping but i like it all the same. i like the hedge/walls, its a cool alternative to big cement or steel fences. the interior is way too white and needs to be redecorated but besides that i really like it. i especially like the cars out front but not so much the price.

I luv this house; very classy. I would not change one thing. She has great taste. Anyone who says otherwise has green eyes. Wish I could purchase it or just visit.

    Lisa, Ken, Kyle

I simply love this home. One of the greatest joys of owning your own home is that you can decorate it any way you choose. When it’s time to sell, optimally you will find a person with the same tastes as your own. It is so disheartening to see someone forced to ‘bland’ their house down to please the masses.

Cheers! and best of luck on the sale of your home. 🙂

I first will state that I could never afford this home but that doesn’t stop me from my comments. The house is decorated from the 70’s when mirrored furniture was popular. I never understood how material chairs would be used in a dining room…don’t these get dirty…they are white and that dog must drop food th probably fall between Ken’s thights on the chair.

What man sleeps in a pink bedroom? We know the daughter, Pandora loves pink…but will this new guy be in a pink bedroom too? Sometimes I wonder about Ken’s sexuality…Lisa makes jokes…but I’m not surprised…and the son is adopted…looks like Pandora is also.

Dogs should not drink out of cups…especially if you are visiting someone. The Vanderpoof’s really need to learn some etiquette..even if it just American etiquette.

Taylor’s cheeks are so high because she’s probably had implants, ditto with lips. I’m concerned that if she loses any more weight her lips will begin to lift her into the air.

And nobody pick on Kenny anymore. He’s sweet and funny.
