Nope, don’t really like it. Some things/rooms are looking fine, but this one just doesn’t make me feel “wanna, wanna, wanna”.

And what i’ve seen before on the site, and what I also don’t like is how this property is located: You have house, with (probably) a garden that is taken care off, and then there just plain open field around it. If you take a swim in that pool, people from miles away can see you. The transition from a garden like this to the open field is just wrong.
I’m not saying you can’t have a house/mansion located in an open field, but don’t do it this way. Now it’s just an island surrounded by dry, boring open field.

Redlands is a nice place. This home is NOT indicative of the homes that can be found in that fine city. It is a nice home, but simply another McMansion. The secret door is really unique, and the pool looks like wonderful place to sit out and tan. That master bedroom bath tub is amazing!
But for true Redlands splendor, you need to get to the other side of the tracks. For in the city of Redlands the south side is far superior to the north!

It was a blast to see a local home here on HOTR. If you are interested, here is another. I am not too sure if the home is still on the market (it has been on and off your years, at one time with an asking price of 20M). Here it is, Hilltop in Lake Arrowhead, a vintage lake front from the bygone era of Hollywood starlets… http://www.maryvail.com/hilltop/history.html

The house is nice enough although I’m not sure I’d have a huge flat screen in my bathroom like the one pictured here. Some of the interior is just plain over kill, the exterior is definitely better. The pricing seems pretty good though.

Eh. I’ll take the chandeliers and the finishing of the elevator to another home in another part of the state…or Florida 😀

House reminds me of the western homes here in my neighborhood. This house would be right at home in Parkland, Davie, Weston, Plantation, Southwest Ranches, etc.

It’s not horrible, but I don’t like it. It’s boring both inside and out. Iemand already pointed out that it’s just plunked down in a field it appears. There needs to be something more done in the way of landscaping. A wind break of some sort would be a good start. The interior looks like a tract house on steroids. At least in the pictures, there’s nothing special about it other than the size. I do like the entrance foyer into the bedroom (a surprisingly large number of larger houses don’t have anything like that) but I would prefer it to be expanded into a sitting room or some sort. The proportions of the public rooms looks a little wonky but maybe it’s just bad camera angles…?

Generally it’s an ugly house without any attention to interior details.

Jayson – Hilltop was interesting, not my cup of tea, but I enjoyed the sailboat bunk beds!

What secret door are you referring to in the above property? I’ve looked over the photos a 2nd time & still do not see it!
