Here are some exterior/interior photos of the $68.5 million, 36,000 square foot mega-mansion dubbed Le Palais du Couchant which located at 9577 Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills, CA.

Homes of the Rich reader Adam took a tour of this magnificent estate. Thanks for the pictures Adam!!

Certainly one of the more impressive homes you’ve featured on HOTR, I think it’s overdone in terms of gaudy and fancy just to look fancy, but I guess it’s to be expected for this style of house and at this price, which I think is probably 30-40 million too high.

Kenny, I should email this one to you, but I know you will see it here and look into the listing. Appologies if you have already posted it here before…

Great pictures…thanks Adam! It’s nice to see a house like this in pictures that aren’t in a listing. The house is SO not my style but it’s impressive in it’s size and detailing. I also find it interesting that a $68.5 million dollar house is going to be an open house. I guess it’s not unthinkable that a random billionaire might be driving by and see the sign.

I don’t know why you would have an open house for a home with this price. Do you realize how many sketchy people you are inviting? I hope they have security in every major room…

I am impressed by the pictures – they are MUCH better than the few pics on the agent’s site. It also appears to be higher quality work than I originally thought.

I wish there were more of the kitchen, bit isn’t that bathroom amazing (the one with the huge mirror)?

The finishes and details were amazing…it is a work of art, just not the kind of art I am into. Finton Construction did an amazing job…I highly recommend them! Love pic #5!! hahaha

by far the nicest home on HOTR. made with actual quality and taste, and worth every penny of the $68.5 million price tag.

    YEOW, AND HOW!!!

Truly breathtaking home, insofar as ALL it’s grandeur, proportions, finishes, light fixtures, room sizes, furnishings, both architectural and the kind you sit on, colors, etc. etc. etc. The house does look to be very correctly & cohesively done in the the High French genre……quite stunning, BUUUUUUUT……..

There I go bangin’ my old drum again, but I can’t help it……..I am literally speechless with amazement that THIS “single family HOUSE” is being built ON SPECULATION, AT THE PRICE OF SIXTY-EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS in 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am aghast with wonder (and most of it not the good kind either) that anyone would spend multiple Kings’ Ransoms on ONE house. Also, you reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally reeeeeeeeeeeeeally REEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY have to BE

I hated this house before I sore it in real life!

When I stayed in Beverly Hills reciently I drove past is everyday…

It is impossible not to like, truly one of the most beautiful homes in America/the world.

Shame about its main road location

I would however love to live here

There is a house next door of the same size and style just not as far long in completion, must be the same developer. What a honor to go inside!
