This one is a lot better than the other one in my opinion. It may be smaller, but I think overall it is a more appealing home. Still not a very nice home though…

Looking at the Birds-Eye, it seems like there is a second entrance to the home, but the owner’s decided not to make a pathway to it…looks VERY odd. Interior is not bad and is workable. I sincerely hope that is the dining room in photo 3, and not the living room. The kitchen is horrendous. Outside you need to install some tall hedges or large trees to block the 3-4 neighbors.

For the million you save with this home, I would improve the landscaping, gut the kitchen, redo that weird second entrance and still have money left over to furnish it and add more details.

That kitchen is really infuriating. Besides the god-awful wood, its cheaply done. Why would you put a black plastic electrical outlet on the OUTSIDE of the island? What are you going to plug in there? The island should have had a raised counter that could be used for seating and eating; that’s a feature you see in remodeled $100,000 homes for Christ sake!

I think I’d purposely start a grease fire in that kitchen. Or better yet:

(Fast forward to 1:09…I honestly would find a 1993 Lincoln Towncar and dress the part for it to. Then I’d get the hell out of Texas LOL!)

Wow Daniel, how do you really feel? 😉

I think picture 3 IS the living room, and it looks tiny. The kitchen is definitely a mess. The main sink is on the island, but it looks like the stove is in front of the window. The sink and stove should definitely be swapped.

It does look like the original main entrance was abandoned in favor of a new entrance on the circular driveway. It looks very odd. I hate the neighborhood. Just a bunch of new architecturally dubious cookie-cutter mansions. If you “drive” down the street in Google’s street view there are an awful lot of for sale signs (although who knows when the street view pics were taken).

I agree with everything above, but probably the worst thing about this house is the location.
I was always thinking a house the size of this (this home is probably 5-6 times bigger then the average home in the Netherlands) was situatied on a big lot. (You know the picture of Americans having big houses, spread out towns and cities, big cars etc.)

But when I look at the neighbourhood I just couldn’t help laughing. Homes worth more then 1.5 million packed together looking like rowhouses.
The worst example here the houses at Oak Knoll lane, come on! Is it even possibly the walk around your multi-million house?

House itself looks fine; meaning it has some potential. But considering the neighbourhood I would turn this one down.

I AM THE INTERIOR DESIGNER FOR THIS HOME. I WILL POST PICS OF THE CHANGES AS WE GO!!! THE BUILDER WAS GOING BANKRUPT ON DURING BUILDING THIS HOME SO A LOT OF THE FINISH OUT WAS NOT WELL DONE. WE HAVE CHANGED ALL OF THAT INCLUDING THE POOL. ALL OF THE LANDSCAPING WILL BE DONE NEXT WEEK, INCLUDING IRON WORK ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE, NEW DRAINAGE GUTTERS IN DARK COLORS TO GIVE IT SOME DEPTH!! THE SIDE ENTRANCE ACTUALLY RUNS TO THE SIDE OF THE STREET, SO INSTEAD OF DOING A WALKWAY, WE ARE DOING ANOTHER CUSTOM IRON GATE AND DOING VERY PLUSH, LARGE FLORALS ALL THROUGH THERE SO IT’S NOT SO MUCH A SECOND ENTRANCE.

I WILL POST SOME PICS TODAY AND AS WE GO ALONG 🙂
