Wow really beautiful(interior), shame about the over kill on staging/decoration (kitchen photo, cell phone on table etc etc). What exactly did it win an award for?

There’s a lot to like about this home.
    The stone work is exceptional.
Interior has a bit too much white for me in the painted areas, but that’s an easy fix for sure !
The scale is very nice for a home with this much footage…doesn’t feel overwhelming and is warm and inviting.
So many 10,000 plus s/f homes are built for only entertaining and “show me off”. This house is truly a home and doesn’t overwhelm.
    Love it.

Its okay. Exterior is nothing special. I would have eliminated the copper roofs. Interior is nice but honestly also nothing special in my eyes. I agree with it being over staged. Show me a real kitchen with those 2 table lamps. Overall its nice but in my opinion nothing award-worthy. Take away the floral arrangements and candles and you have a Rooms-To-Go arrangement. And these people must be alcoholics with all the open booze bottles. Also, all those frilly pseudo-contemporary chandeliers can go. Rear facade is thrown off by the double white door.

$12 million for an okay home is too much in my book, especially considering the location.

Agree with you on the price, Dan, and DEFINITELY about the never-should-be-photographed BOOZE BOTTLES in the listing shots….INEXCUSABLE, because waaaay too many people will assume (most incorrectly) just what you did. But it is BEYOND me how you, Iemand & Grrrrowler would say that the PHENOMENAL stone work on the on the entire house is nothing special, or theme park-ish!

I feel completely confident in saying that this house is Quite Wonderful, Unique and exquisitely designed. The exterior has quite a presence, granted, but all the materials combined with the architecture work wonderfully together to create, in my opinion, an english-cottage-on-a-quite-large-scale look. I love how different this house is, and I totally disagree with you about the interior design.

But BOY, you and I could NEVER design an interior together……it’d most likely be a contest to see who’d KILL each otherfirst, FAST! LOL (jus’ kidding)

      C’est la vie 🙂

I don’t know Canadian values, but in the states to be worth the asking price that house would have to on 10 acres in Greenwich.

WOW, I’ve mixed thoughts about the outside (sometimes it’s starting to look like a theme park building) but the interior is great! One of the few examples here that have style in furniture and don’t fill the place with fake “French stuff”.
So as for the interior, I could move in right away. The exterior is holding me off however…

I am betting that Candice Olsen Decorated this house. That is her signature style, she is my favorite designer besides myself. lol

Like Iemand said, the exterior bordered on theme park. It looks almost cartoon-ish. As for the interior, I like some parts of it, such as the main staircase and the living room fireplace. Other parts are ho hum. I like the style the stager/decorator used for the interior. But, as others have said, it has been over-staged. Actually, it’s been over-tchotchked. And, while I like the general style of the furnishings, they are not particularly high quality. Using high-quality, or even custom-built, furniture plus some carefully chosen antique would help make this look like a $12,000,000 house.

I really like both the interior and the exterior even though they mix both classical and contemporary in the interior..

To be honest, the exterior is not something special, but this doesn’t mean that it’s not beautiful.Just it’s not my premier style of exterior, that’s all.The interior is livable because the rooms are designed and decorated well, thus, also, they give a friendly tone to the house generally.
