This home seems like a much better deal than the other one. I know nothing about the area, so maybe the neighborhood isn’t as exclusive?

Exterior ain’t great…very mix-match. Interior has some VERY nice elements. I am loving the stone in the entrance foyer and the size of it…phenomenally huge. I’d paint over that sky mural though. Living room is equally expansive, and is dying to be decorated properly. Kitchen ain’t bad; that little table attached to the island is ugly and pointless. Master bathroom is unique…that tub looks custom. And a 10+ car garage too!

Overall, even though I don’t like the desert, some things found in this house would make it to my house.

I hate the outside of this house. It’s jumbled and remarkably boring. The inside…I like some of it, and really dislike other parts. I like the rooms with stone walls, especially the master bedroom. Other rooms look like rooms in typical suburban houses with mission-style details stuck on after the fact. The family room is especially bad about that, and the fireplace is terrible. I hate the fireplace; corner fireplaces rarely work and this one is off-center on top of that. It’s jarring to look at.

Some things need to flat out go away. Every HVAC ceiling vent needs to be painted to match the ceiling. Why make them them a contrasting color to draw attention to them? The sky mural has to go. For that matter, the fountain below it also needs to go. That would work if it were an outdoor courtyard but it doesn’t work where it is. The sky mural in bedroom 3 also needs to go, but that looks like a very nice bedroom with the sitting room and fireplace. A poker/cigar house? Really? Those crests above the living room fireplace and the kitchen exhaust hood are silly. Speaking of the kitchen, the three stoves seems like a really odd setup.

    Stunning home.
It almost seems like it should cost double what they are asking.
Really a travesty what has happened to the high end real estate market.
