Nice, but I don’ think it belongs on Everglades Island. Wish it had more pictures of the living areas. Kitchen looks a little too ornate and a bit small, although the house is not terribly large. Love the pool area. Price is high but not “terribly” overpriced. I see it going in the $10-$11 million dollar range.

Now that I look at it, I would rather have 534 Island Drive, listed at $14.5 million. Personally, I think it is more fitting of the neighborhood and I think it is a nicer home (Plus, it has a canal view AND the Everglades Club golf course). Worth a look indeed!

Really nice quality home. Lots of attention to detail, although I agree with Daniel that there should be more pics of the interior…

I like it, but for this price I would like a kitchen that is a bit larger

I like what I can see of this house. To echo everyone else’s comments, why no more pictures? The kitchen does look small for a house in this price range, although I think the camera has made it look shorter than it really is. It’s not a huge house and shouldn’t have a massive kitchen but I would like at least a prep sink in the kitchen. As expensive as the cabinets were in there, I really don’t like them. Why put French Empire style cabinets into a Mediterranean style house? I’m loving the banister design and the stairwell in it’s own turret.

That’s a nice mansion with awesome exterior and sweet interior.

However , I wouldn’t pay 16 million dollars for 6.800 sq.foot. But, it is located in prestigious Palm Beach, someone will claim. And so, what???

Obviously, If someone can afford $16 million on a seasonal home, they can afford to live ANYWHERE in the world. I suppose it will attract someone that wants the lifestyle, the luxury, the lineage and the location that PB offers. Me included, if I had it…but not this house 😉

You know what is funny, my friend has a $25 million house on Ocean in Palm Beach, but his regular home here in town is maybe $500,000 max.
His brother’s house here in town is even worse, he has a Ferrari sitting in the garage that costs more than the house. lol

          🙁

I love cars, but having a car sitting in your garage that is worth more than the house you’re living in is slightly…wrong (unless it’s a Bugatti or Ferrari 250 GT/GTO). Which town do they live in?

This house probably wouldn’t be my first pick either, although I do like the Intracoastal location. Oceanfront is very nice and prestigious, but with the Intracoastal comes the ability to dock a boat (or boats) behind your house. Plus it’s fascinating to watch the boat traffic go by. I lived on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale and the view of the ocean just became part of the background after a while.

Then Manalapan (in PB County) or Hillsboro Beach (in Broward County) is what you need…Oceanfront homes with a private dock on the intracoastal. Best of both worlds!!!

I really like this house. Love all the outdoor areas. Kitchen is a little too “Old World” for my tastes. Wish there were more pictures but that is normal for Sothebys – they have the worst web sites of all the major real estate companies.
