Earlier I drew a mansion called “Cresta de León” and now here is my design for the Ultimate Mega Mansion. I love symmetry, so I designed the home to be very symmetrical. What do you guys think? Rather than hand drawing it, I decided to draw it using Adobe Illustrator. I find Illustrator very easy when trying to draw large scale homes. If any of you guys need any help, just let me know.
The home is called “Casa de Forder” =). It measures 46,000 square feet and will be located in Saddle River, NJ (in my dreams of course haha). Now it’s your turn! Send in your “Ultimate Mega-Mansion” designs and I’ll post them up for the world to see.

It is a unique design. I think you should go for something more classical and popular, something like a design inspired by a Newport, RI cottage. Or perhaps one design inspired by the great homes on Long Island, NY.
But I do like the one you have made, there is something special about it.
I do appreciate the symmetry, but a turret or tower should be a special feature on a facade. Too many of them takes away the specialness. I think fewer of them would actually make it more interesting.
yea i agree, way too many turrets.
and i also think 6 chimneys is a little extreme.
Yeah, I agree, there are too many turrets and chimneys. I just updated the post with a new pic (I took out some chimneys and turrets). What do you guys think?
The middle roof behind the front door should be much taller and steeper, and have an ornate ridge at the top! Other then that, it is great!
I like it, it is way over the top.
It is like a Russian’s wet dream. lol
It’s a little too islamic – those domes are not exactly charming.
I am also a big fan of symmetry, I don’t care how crazy you go on the interior but I like the left and right sides be a mirror image if you cut that thing in half, so I love that about the design. The only other change I would make besides what others have mentioned is to widen the entry area to at least double what you have it–a house of that size needs a huge entry, huge front doors, huge porch, etc…probaby around 40 feet across to make it to scale.
