This European waterfront Manor is located at 6431 River Pointe Way in Jupiter, FL. The gated estate is situated on a large plot of land that includes a main house, tennis court, guest house, swimming pool with spa, and a boat dock. The 14,782 square foot home boasts 7 bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, formal living and dining rooms, gourmet kitchen, billiards room with custom bar, wine cellar, gym, home theater, covered veranda, full outdoor kitchen, and more. It is listed at $7,995,000, which I think is a great deal considering the quality of the home as well as the amount of land it sits on. The interior decor is elegant and I love the finishings.

Personally, I think it’s too much land. Acreage is nice when it’s filled with huge trees, but in South Florida it just doesn’t work. I would be much happier with a lot half the size. Or better yet, give me a lot a 1/3 of the size in Admiral’s Cove, or even The Bear’s Club. Also, seems a little too far north in Jupiter (which is a nice town but a little too far north of everything else). It is a nice home, but it doesn’t stand out. $8 million ain’t too overpriced, but I would never pay it.

FYI: The house next door is for sale at $6,995,000, and was built by Simmons Building (aka crazy opulent interior).

And it’s owned Richard and Lauree Simmons. Builder’s sick of their own home?

This mansion actually belongs to a friend of mine. I think that the size of the lot is great. It is hard to find a waterfront parcel of this size (or even half of this size) in Jupiter.

The house next door (6441 River Pointe Way) does in fact belong to the Bob and Lauree Simmons, who also built my grandparents’ home. The reason that they are selling is actually because they feel that the house is much too large for the two of them (their children are all grown now and have moved out). I have been to their house before and it is a nice home, but slightly over the top as are most of the homes that they build. There is also a strong animal/wildlife motif throughout the house (there is even a head of a rhino above the bed in one of the upstairs bedrooms). It is a nice property overall though, and the outdoor spaces are incredible.
