Here is a look at some of my favorite indoor basketball courts. Some of them are located in basements and others are located in attached buildings. Which ever one it may be, basketball courts are definitely a luxurious amenity that not many million dollar homes have. I have always loved basketball ever since I was younger, so I most certainly would build one in my dream home. Share your favorites!!

Um. I may be alone, but honestly I wouldn’t care which one you gave me, as to me they are all pretty much the same. All have the same basic element (wooden floors + a wall with no windows or very high windows). If I had a choice, I’d rather just have a bigger garage than a basketball court. I ain’t in the NBA, so I don’t need to improve my game.
I may be out on a limb here, but to me a basketball court is something you seen in $10-$20 million dollar homes, not $50+ million dollar homes. It just seems very hard to incorporate it into a home while maintaining the architectural balance. Basically, I think a basketball court cheapens the home. That’s just me.

I agree, I would personally not want to put one in my home.
My neighbor has one in his house and it is the worst thing ever.
It ruins the whole flow of the house and the sound just echoes throughout the home.
The only way to do it is to have a separate wing that is really soundproofed away from the home or a separate building altogether.
It is just like indoor pools, the worst thing is to have a basement one, they should always be on the main floor in almost a separate area.
My neighbor has the pool in the basement and the basketball court where the great room would normally be…just wrong.
4th picture 2nd row is in it’s own building. Go Hoosiers
There must be a culture of bigger is better, because a basketball court is really wasteful for a home. How often would it be used?
The best court I’ve ever seen at a house is Terrell Owens’ when his house was on MTV Cribs. It’s the most well done in-home court I’ve ever seen, very professional.
