Just a couple of days ago I wrote a post about the dozens of large mansions scattered about in the tiny town of Bradbury, CA. Well, Forbes’ annual “America’s Most Expensive Zips Codes” list came out and guess who is at the top? Bradbury! Well, it’s Duarte to be correct. Bradbury and Duarte are basically right next to each other and considered all to be one area. The zip code, which is 91008, has a median house price of a whopping $4,276,462. Last year’s #1, Alpine, NJ, was knocked down to #4 with a median house price of $3,814,885. Sorry Alpine, you have officially been beaten =(

This post is brought to you by John Burgdorf from North Texas Luxury

HERE IS HIS WRITE UP:

This stunning French Tudor chateau in rural Celina, Texas basks in crafted excellence and design. Sharing similarities aligned with both the French and English Tudor styles, the clearly altruistic homebuilder took in a combination of themes and produced this wonderful piece of art.

From the large eye capturing French turret to the high rising brick fireplace chimney, this home surely catches everyone’s attention. A long circle drive leads up to the entrance; a pond was placed in the middle of the circle drive. A built in porte cochere leads to the motor court and four car garage. The home, situated on just under 3 acres, has somewhat of a country or ranch feel to it: a long driveway, plenty of land, a large pond in the front yard, and although strikingly French, a country portrayal. The home is adequately named a smart house due to its environment friendly and energy efficient characteristics. The estate also comes with a large, family fun swimming pool with plentiful space for dining, and even an included outdoor lounge/grill station. My favorite part: the swimming pool even has its own slide! A tennis court is also located on the property. If the outdoor amenities of this estate do not leave you stunned for words, the interior will do the job!

Defined by pristine architecture and mural covered walls, the interior of this estate also captures the attention of all its guests. The main living area is detailed with a stone fireplace and an engraved spot for the TV. Three sets of classical French doors open to the backyard from the main living area as well. The ceiling of the main living room is painted as, what looks to be, a map (see it yourself on the listing). Dark hardwood floors and dark wood trimmings support the English Tudor style of the home. A well designed kitchen, fully equipped media room, game room, and exercise room are the fun factors included with this estate. Key features include 6 bedrooms and 7 1/2 baths. In total, the estate comes in at 9,640 sq. feet.

The home’s address is 2601 Twelve Oaks Lane in Celina, Texas. The current listed price is $2,950,000.
