This large estate, located at 43 Chestnut Hill Drive in Brookville, NY, is perfect for grand entertaining. It was built in 1993 and boasts 7 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, formal living and dining rooms, 2-level library with tons of built-ins, grand 2-story great room, 1-lane bowling alley, gym, indoor swimming pool with spa, an outdoor swimming pool, and more. It is listed at $14,900,000. The home does have tons of amenities, but I don’t think it’s worthy of that price tag. What do you guys think? Would you pay that much for this home?

This listing just came out last night. Did someone send you a tip?? This house is way overpriced. Are you kidding me????
Nope, I found it while searching on Realtor.com. I know! It’s definitely overpriced. The location isn’t all too great and the exterior/interior doesn’t scream $14.9 million.
Kenny this house is 43 c h d just down the rd from it at 14 c h d is a larger, newer, on more land, and at least as nice a house for HALF as much money. I have to believe the listing agent is out of his or her mind.
haha, the listing agent is definitely on something, because there is nothing special about the house that justifies the price tag.
“Would you pay that much for this home?”
Definitely not.
One has to appreciate the value of privacy to understand why this unique estate is a bargain at the offering price. It is widely believed to be the most private location on the Gold Coast of Long Island, bordered by a top-flight golf course and an arboretum. Given the current ordinances of the Village of Upper Brookville, it would take a minimum of 11 acres at $1 million an acre to replicate this estate in this village. And the $11 million is just the land.
The location is actually about as good as you can get. The price is nuts!!!! The outside of the house looks like a house worth between 2 to 3 million. they would be luck to get 4 to 5 million in this market. sounds like a lot of bells and wistles in the BASEMENT
