This is more or less what I would consider my dream home. I love log houses and this one looks to be done very well. It’s grand and comfortable at the same time. I’d want fewer bedrooms and could do without the bowling alley, but it’s a beautiful place. That kitchen is gorgeous.
Ditto…I’d love this place, but could do without the bowling alley myself.
Beautiful chalet! Wow!
I brought up Naples vs Palm Beach in the other post; here I have a similar question; Telluride or Aspen?
Asssssssssssspen!
Vail
hmmm…….ASPEN!!! =)
Telluride!
Telluridge
Ok I need spell check – Telluride.
Vail
Gorgeous and timeless home, can’t believe someone would pour millions into a renovation then try to sell it in this economy. Even among the super rich, homes aren’t necessarily moving that quickly, except for Le Belvedere, I suppose. This is truly a stunning piece of work.
This is one HUGE home for a vacation home! I like log homes, but would want one that had a 2 story great room with a loft that overlooks that space. The amenities are certainly nice, but it has too many bedrooms and baths for my taste. I don’t need a bowling alley, either. Since my back surgeries and arthritis, I can’t stand snow anymore, anyway.
If I could choose vacation homes it would be #1 Beach #2 Paris, my favorite city in the world!
This would be a GREAT vacation home to bring friends and family over the holidays (hence the need for the bedrooms)
Yeah, even with the bowling alley, this place is perfect. I love the pictures, whoever took them did a really nice job. I could make this my regular home instead of a “vacation home”.
Like most others above I really like this house. It looks like you could “live” in this home and not just have something to show off like many of the large houses.
