I love French opulence, but this is a little too much even for me. Scale back the gold leaf (especially on the ceilings) and add some other primary colors besides red and I’m in. Any idea on the price (or an estimate)?

Oy vey….reminds me (on a MUCH MUCH MUCH smaller scale, of course) of Suzanne Sapersteins absurdly overdone “Fleur De Lys”……..talk about GIGA-OVERDOSE on french EVERYTHING……Yikes! Take it down a few, hundred-thousand notches.

This home comes very close to being PERFECT for me for a French home in many ways, although I’d deisgn the movie theater a bit differently, and the bathroom different (I’d have a purely marble bathtub, not a marble inlay with a bathtub inserted).

    • Kyle, I agree. Just the right amount of French for my taste (incl. the wonderful antiques). I love the theatre but am not in love with the Master Bath (as you mentioned), but the Master Bedroom is just right.

Aside from that, I’d rather live in Europe anyday before I’d consider Australia. It’s too far from so many of the things I love. I don’t fancy a 17 hour plane ride either!!! 😉

I really wish there were more pictures of it though! Any ideas on the cost of this thing?

The real question here is, who would want to live in Australia? A land populated by former criminals and spiders the size of your hand.
    Just joking…

House is nice, but location is not. Who in his right mind would spend millions of dollars for a house in Australia.

Maybe it’s on the coast of Australia? Also I am sure a few rich Australians might want to live there 😀
