If anyone needs a decorator that will furnish a house with enough class to impress your friends, yet with a homey feel so you can actually enjoy living there, hire whoever did this house.

Gorgeous foyer, but I have to disagree with the furnishings, especially in the living room. Pair the boring living-room architecture with tacky over-sized furnishings and the combo is less than stellar.

Daniel, my oldest son is 6’6″ tall, an weighs 313 lbs. My second son is 6’3″ and weighs 260 plus. I’m not far behind. For us, oversized is undersized.

        Ha!

Well George, I’m 6’4″, so I can sympathize with you a little bit. I understand there is a line between aesthetics and comfort, but that couch and those chairs fail miserably at aesthetics. The entire house just has that “Wow, I’ve seen this design strategy in 5,000 sq ft McMansions, and was expecting a little more for $15 million.”

Agreed…large scale furniture doesn’t have to without style. No offense to anyone but to my eye the furniture in this house is best described as “pedestrian”.

You guys are right. I went a little overboard when I saw furniture that my family could sit in, as opposed to break. Some times I think every decorator weighs in at 103, and is on a diet.

I love RSF and used to live not too far from there. The outside of this house is lovely and, typical for most RSF homes, the grounds are beautiful.

Fortunately I hadn’t yet had my breakfast when I looked at the picture of the living room. If it’s possible to feel sorry for a room, I feel sorry for this living room. The rest of interior isn’t much better. The Faux French Country look just doesn’t work for me.
