I spotted this mansion a while ago, but there wasn’t information, until I checked today. The mansion is being built in an up-and-coming neighborhood on the “Club at Longview” Golf Club in Waxhaw, North Carolina. There are many nice homes under construction, but I think this one stands out due to its size. The address is 307 Oakmont Ln Waxhaw, NC 28173. The home is 15,266 square feet, and features 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms over 2 floors. According to the club’s own website “The Club at Longview features the only residential course in the Charlotte region to earn a place in Golf Digest’s prestigious ‘Best in State’ rankings, where it has been a fixture among North Carolina’s top 20 ever since its 2003 opening. The house itself looks like it will be very nice and I would like to see some interior pictures. I would not like knowing that my house was so close to the one next door that you could put out your hand and touch it. Way too close to the one next door.
I don’t care for all the turrets, or cones, not sure of the proper term, otherwise it’s a nice house. Hope the interior is done well.

Man with those sand traps back there, I’d expect to get golf balls flying around the the backyard pretty often. Also, 5.5 baths is not enough for that size of a house. Should have something like 7 full and 3 half baths scattered around, with every bedroom having its own bath and a few half baths near hallways, entry, media room, etc….
Yeah, I think the home looks even bigger than 15,266 square feet. It was valued between $1.5 and $3.0 million, which for that size is a great deal. I would’ve obviously put pictures up, but there just weren’t any.
Kev, you bring up a good point about golf balls flying around near the back of the house. That could get risky.
Can the lot be any smaller for a house that size ?
Yeh the lot is definitely too small for such a big house. The house should have been built much smaller, maybe half its current size, it would fit much better
I love the style, although I totally agree with Brandt. That house should be on a five acre lot at least.
