Danielle Staub, from the Real Housewives of New Jersey, has re-listed her house. The home, which is located on 8 Shadow Ridge Run in Wayne, NJ, is on the market for $1,095,000. It was previously on the market in September of last year for $1,495,000, which means it had a $400,000 price reduction. This news comes days after fellow housewife Teresa Giudice’s 10,000 square foot mansion went on the market for $3,999,999 and then disappeared the next day.

Danielle and her ex-husband bought the home back in 1998 for $1,025,000. The 6,208 square foot home boasts 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 story Grand entry foyer with double staircase, great room with fireplace, custom mahogany billiard room with wet bar, gym, and a beautiful pool with cabana. It was built in 1990, so it definitely needs some work done. Let’s see if she has any luck this time!

The “Court Ordered Sale” adds a tremendous amount of curb appeal, don’t you think?

I have never watched any of the Real Housewives shows, and I think I need someone to help me out. What is appealing about a show with people who obviously can’t manage their money, apparently live WAY beyond their means, have no taste, and live in ugly houses (at least the houses I’ve seen)? What am I missing with this show? The real housewives I know in Seattle don’t end up in foreclosure.

It’s kinda like when you pass by a car wreck, you know you don’t wanna see but you have to look, well these show’s are like a series of car wrecks, I personally haven’t watched in about 3 years though I admit that at first I enjoyed them. Although the Real Housewives of Orange County actually had some nice houses and where relatively normal compared to the crap they’ve thrown on these new versions.

This is a video of the house. As you can see she has done some renovations to the foyer and family room.

Guys, remember on the appearance aspect, these homes are all less than $5 million, so it’s not like they are going to look like homes costing more than $12 million as is the norm on this site. Of course, one can find nice-looking homes for under $5 million as well, but I think it is that many of these are McMansions.

Also, from my interpretation of the series, the shows were supposed to be about women who were affluent, but not rich. But affluent enough to enjoy a much higher standard of living than most people, very upper-middle-class.

It was not supposed to be about a bunch of fakers pretending they are wealthier than they really are. There was one housewife who actually was real on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, she had $$$, and the other “housewives” kept trying to start fights with her. She wasn’t into that though so she ignored their attempts. The shows’s producers told her she had to get back in their faces because it makes for good television, she still refused though and ended up leaving the show.

The conflict aspect (fights) also shows it isn’t very “real.” The truly real housewives don’t want to be on television I’d imagine.

BTW Grrrowler, they already have Real Housewives of Orange County, Real Housewives of New York, Real Housewives of Atlanta, and are working on Real Housewives of Washington, D.C. from what I understand, so don’t give them any new ideas!! I can see it now, “Coming Summer 2011, Real Housewives of Seattle.” 😀 😀

I believe the version currently in production is “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”. Never heard anything about a DC version but I will do some looking.

I am just letting you know incase you wanted to investigate that in Mendham, NJ–governor Chris Christie’s brother Todd’s house is for sale for 5.6 million. The house is absolutely stunning inside and out. You may want to check it out and make a post about it. Its gorgeous.

I love how Daniell LIED on the show that they paid close to 2 million for the house, when indeed, they paid $1,025,000. Public records: http://www.natefind.com/nj/wayne/shadow+ridge+rd/2343384
