Al here,
I thought I would show you guys some photos and give you some information about a new mansion being built in the Fort Worth suburb of Southlake, TX. The mansion can be found at 935 W Dove Rd, Southlake, TX. The home features 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 20,750 square feet. It looks like it’s a pretty nice home, featuring a wrap-around garage, and a personal lake in the front yard. The backyard is huge, and there could be endless possibilities for landscaping.  What do you guys think?

Love the garage area, other than that not much to say, it’s nice but not unique.

    Jesus that is huge.
    $3.5 million?
The only way you could or should get that home for that price is if an entire cult committed mass suicide in there.

This home is right down the street from my parents house. It has been finishe for over a year now. It is amazing. During construction I had the opportunity to walk through. Bowling alley, indoor basketball court, 1500sf gym, 1100sf two story master closet, safe room, and the list goes on and on. Magnificent house and I still can’t believe the price!

  • No Texans are not racist, lol. And you have to realize, the real estate market in Texas is outstanding. A home like this in California would cost….Lord knows what!

I think zillow’s appraisal is from looooong before completion.

The county has it at almost 6 million.

    http://www.tad.org/Datasearch/re.cfm?Account=%28%2E%218JJ%3D%2C4K%20%2C%20

Probably is 5 bedrooms with lots of large spaces like the basketball court, etc…but I would guess the baths are more like 8 plus a few half baths.

Zillow usually massively undervalues places and this is no exception. If this was put on the market I think you can expect a $10 million+ price tag

Yes, but it will sell for 6. The house is in Texas, not New York Metro, Calif., or Miami.

Do any of you guys think that’s the plan, to put it on the market? It seems like that’s what everyone seems to be doing now-a-days.

HUGE (and I’m sure lovely on the inside) house, but that Zillow listing has GOT TO BE WRONG, BIG time! Almost 21,000 square feet, and only 3 bathrooms?! Simply can’t be right. Anyway, while I’m sure there’s obviously plenty of things that appeal to all the wealthy people who chose to live in Southlake, I’ll NEVER understand ’em. I have family in College Station, and so much of Texas is an UNBEARABLE steam room for easily 6 to 8 months out of the year. And, personally, if I had THAT kind of money, I sure as all Hell wouldn’t spend millions of it living in Southlake…nowheresville as far as I’m concerned. Dallas & Houston, maybe.

Barney my son and his family also live in College Station, small world. The thing about Southlake is that it is an affluent suburban town located between Dallas and Fort Worth with according to Newsweek magazine one of the top school districts [top 1%] in the USA.

And if anything, you understated Texas weather, also they have bugs down there large enough to fly away with a small child.

LOL…..I have no doubt about that, George! You’re right, and this world’s gettin’ smaller and smaller by the MINUTE!

Also, I love that you mentioned the schools. Any mention of the words “school” and “Texas” will forever make me think of what those NUT JOBS who own & print so many of the history/sociology textbooks that are used in this country. Literally and purposely changing the very history of the country with direct regard to the Civil War AND slavery for Gods’ sake, and the century-old, universally accepted Darwinian theory of evolution at their UNBALANCED will & whim………unbeleivable. That line between church & state is 50% disappeared down there in Texas now!

The home is actually closer to 26000 sq ft because of the bowling alley. It was built by a buddy of mine, Broadstone Custom Homes. Go to http://www.broadstonecompanies.com and there is a picture of the inside also look at the one in La Mirada it was just finished just around the corner from this house.

While searching the Internet for “saunas” this website happen to pop up. The only reason I noticed at all was the address in bold print was familiar. It’s actually my best friend’s house! I read all the comments and thought I might could give some insight that would be helpful. The sq ft is closer to 30,000. 6 bedroom 10 bath. Bball gym, bowling alley, work out gym, 2 story master closet, kids game room, theatre room and a prayer room are some of the unique things about the house. The yard is great! They have 3 swans in their pond and lately some ducks and geese! The swans are the only planned occupants but the others are welcomed guest! The landscaping is great front and back with great landscape lighting! It actually is a retreat for my kids and I when my friend is out of town! I “house sit” for her and we get a vacation in the process! The house was built with family in mind and with all the amenities needed to be “that house” that the kids and all their friends want to hang out at. My friend and her family are strong in their faith and their love for the Lord! They are humbled by all that God has allowed them to have and they gladly share all they have with others. However, they did not grow up in an area like Southlake. Given that fact, they both know the size of their home and the attention to their lifestyle can get the attention of lots of people. And not all of them are as kind as the people on this site. My friend and her husband are nice but not stupid! Their home is wonderful but not a bubble! Along with all the amenities I listed I need to also add an intense security system(motion detectors, cameras and some type of infrared device)! Plus 4 200lb plus Great Danes who can be extremely territorial! And last but not least, people need to remember that this is the state of TX-which means trespassing is frowned upon! I hope I was able show you the house from an inside perspective(kinda) and clear up any misconceptions. Thanks for all the nice things that everyone wrote… I’m going to share them with my friend.
