Al Here,

I think that this is a very nice “get away from everything” kind of house, that has a lot of nice amenities. Its right on the water, and features 11,100 square feet. The home has 9 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a 3-car garage, and even an indoor pool. Some other amenities are a boat house, a gate-house, a glass walled gym, and a butler’s pantry. The home is on the market for $12,900,000. The address is 7014 Greenshores Dr, Austin, TX. What do you guys think?

I would like to be there now. Cold drink in hand and nothing but the sound of the water.

The asking price is just over twice what it’s worth. It will sell for between 5m and 5 1/2

Going to this home from the two ultra modern homes is taking time for me to adjust! That being said, I think this home is a little lost. It’s odd, but for me nothing “fits” in the home, furniture wise. You got a couple sofas, a table and chairs, and it just feels disconnected.

Zillow’s Zestimate is a little below what George says the price should be. Trulia’s data shows it as slightly higher – this shows that George is very close in his estimate. Interesting that the sellers have a huge markup over market prices for the neighborhood – that said, the house is beautiful and I must thank you guys for posting pics here. A very tasteful place and at a nice and tranquil location. A superb “Get-Away” home indeed, as Kenny rightly points out!

This is one GORGEOUS HOUSE. LUV the Italian-countryside flavor it has, vaulted 7 beamed ceilings, so many natural & beautiful materials, especially the fireplaces, and laid-back (if not totally coordinated, and noticeably bland) decor & furniture. That, of course, can all be changed easily, if you’re packin’ BIG bucks, but the location & lot look FANTASTIC. This exterior shots of the lake, with the very hilly opposite side of the lake are breathtaking……remind of the shores of lakes in Switzerland & Austria….absolutely beautiful. I’d be TOTALLY delighted to vacation there in the summer, but not live there year-round. Five stars, as far as I’m concerned.

I’ve seen this house up close. It’s been for sale for a long time, and is extremely overpriced. It’s a beautiful house and it’s on a great piece of property on lake Austin, but $12mil puts it in the upper echelon of pricing in that area, and there just isn’t enough house there to be realistic.
