Wowzers! You remember this home? I had featured it in a post a while back and we were all amazed by it’s sheer size. Well, the home is now on the market. The 25,000 square foot mega-mansion is located at 3016 Eminencia Del Norte in San Clemente, CA. The home’s most impressive feature is the massive entry foyer with 35 foot ceilings and double bridal staircase. It also boasts 17 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, double height dining room, double height wood paneled library, huge kitchen, two large offices, great room, gym with sauna and steam room, panoramic sun room, swimming pool, twin four-car oversized garages, and much much more. It is listed at $6,995,000, a steal if you ask me!! The home also looks a lot bigger than 25,000 square feet. What do you guys think?

Baseball great Cecil Fielder’s former mansion sold for $1,165,000 at auction on Thursday, May 27th. The estate, which is the largest in Brevard County, was purchased by Cecil for $3,750,000 back in 1995. So, I say that the new owner just got quite the steal! The home is located at 700 Jordan Blass Drive in the Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, FL. Before the auction took place, it was listed for a very reasonable $3,495,000, but failed to sell.  The 25,000 square foot, 50-room mansion has a breathtaking 2-story foyer with marble floors and a spectacular floating staircase. There is also a 2-story great room with wrap-around upper balcony , 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, full basketball and tennis courts, a home theater, an arts and crafts room, a model train room, a 4,500 square foot guest house, a separate apartment, an 8,000 bottle wine cellar, and a large swimming pool.

HERE IS A VIDEO TOUR OF THE HOME

About 50 people gathered in the home’s family room for the auction, but there were only 6 registered buyers. The auction lasted 20 minutes .

This 20,000 square foot mansion is located at 810 N Rexford Drive in Beverly Hills, CA. It was built in 1998 and boasts 11 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, an indoor courtyard with beautiful skylight, swimming pool with attached guest house, and a tennis court. You can rent it for a whopping $70,000 a month. The home is owned by Marc and Michele Bohbot. Marc is the owner of The Standard Oil Investment Group and Michele is the founder of the successful clothing line Bisou Bisou, which is currently sold in JCPenney. The rental price still pales in comparison to the astonishing $300,000 a month rental price for the Carolwood Drive estate in Holmby Hills.

Here’s something different for you guys; in-depth info on a couple of mega-mansions one architect has designed. Architect Steven Hefner, who owns DesignWorks Creative Partnership, designed these 4 mega-mansions for 4 of his clients around the country. The homes range in size from 26,000 to 50,000 square feet. Two of them have already been built.

HERE ARE SNIPPETS FROM THE ARTICLE

FIRST HOUSE: (already built)

He is currently designing a 26,000 square foot Delray Beach mansion for a financially blessed young couple in their mid-thirties. To be used as a permanent year round residence, the home is an Italian Renaissance villa based in theme on the exotic, elegant and lush James Deering Estate, Villa Viscaya in Miami.

SECOND HOUSE: (already built)

The second megamansion Steven Hefner is designing is a 30,000 square foot residence located in Manalapan, FL. The Manalapan residence is being designed for a European couple with four children. The client is involved in the restoration of 18th and 19th century historic buildings in Germany and Italy and they maintain a historic villa in Italy which they are restoring.

THIRD HOUSE:

The third megamansion that Mr. Hefner is designing is a 50,000 square foot residence for a Fortune 500 executive in the third largest pharmaceutical company in the United States. Creating a residence for this busy executive and his family, including eight children, requires that Mr. Hefner design and coordinate not only the new home, but a temporary residence as well. With the clients so busy (he is intricately enmeshed in important business transactions, she in managing the daily family life of a family of ten, the youngest child only six months old), the program for the project is developed on the fly, decisions at times being made as the corporate jet lands on the tarmac.

FOURTH HOUSE:

The fourth over thirty thousand square foot megamansion is being designed In Gulfstream, FL (with another 9,000 square foot home in Connecticut) for an active couple with Hollywood connections. The couple produced a Broadway play last year.
