This home was recently featured on MTV’s Teen Cribs and like many other homes shown on the show, it’s up for sale. It seems as though these homeowners think appearing on the show will gain attention for their home. Well, these homeowners better do something different, because their home has been on the market since August of 2006! It is owned by Wilbur and Lori Waters, who are custom home builders. They own the company Built by Waters. The home is located at 1700 N Lake Eloise Drive in Winter Haven, FL. It is listed at $5,875,000. The home boasts high ceilings throughout each room, which I love. It is beautifully decorated and has a cool hidden game room behind the home office/library.

Why are so many Teen Cribs homes for sale? Lots of economy hit hard by the economy?

The reason so many Teen Cribs homes are for sale is because they were for sale before they went on the show. The parents or listing agents decided its a good idea to show off the home so the use the show as a format to do it. The same thing happens to a lesser extent on the regular Cribs.

I actually agree. It is a genius marketing plan for trying to sell a house that has been on the market for a while or a new house. Now though, I feel like all these kids were lying when they were saying that they enjoyed growing up at these houses. Like the Najaar family. That house is brand new. They didn’t grow up there. I would do the same thing though.

P.S. And it works, look how many of us are in a frenzy when we see a house that we recognize from the show on sale.

I am always curious about square footage of these houses and how long it took to build them. Of the many houses they have shown with indoor basketball courts in the basements; I wonder how tall or deep if that makes sense the basement had to be built to fit a full size court in it. Just curious…. Especially the house that had the harry potter and indiana jones theme rooms….
