You can finally see this home in bird’s eye view!! I was super pumped when guest blogger Al Robinson shared this info with me. I am in LOVE with this home, although I think the price is crazy. The next thing is to try and get a tour of this beauty! Who’s with me?!

This 32,000 square foot mega mansion sits just off of Closter Dock Road in the affluent suburb of Alpine, NJ. This home is situated on 5 acres and comes with a 250 foot long driveway, a motor court, ballroom, great room , conservatory, formal galleries, 3 kitchens, 4 stair halls, movie theater, full size indoor basketball court, wine cellar, exercise room, massage room , elevator, and last but not least, 8 bedroom suites and 13 bathrooms. It is the first house to be built in a subdivision of a dozen or so homes that are going to be priced at $30 million and up. This particular home went on the market for a staggering $42,500,000 about 2 years ago. Then, the price jumped to an even more mind numbing $52 million. However, the estate seems to be off the market now. After rejecting an offer around $36 million, the builder Richard Kurtz took it off the market and, we hear, plans to move in with his wife, Patti.

Former Citigroup executive and Heisman Trophy winner Pete Dawkins has listed his 18,000 sq. ft. waterfront mansion in Rumson, NJ for $29,900,000. Built in 2004, the mansion boasts 5 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, a 6-car garage, and it has breathtaking views of the Navesink River. It was featured in architectual digest a couple years ago and he has been in a very long legal battle with his neighbor (Wall Street CEO Michael Gooch) over his plans to knock down a pool house and build new staff quarters. Thanks to Doug for the tip!!

HERE ARE THE LISTING DETAILS:

One of the East Coast’s most illustrious estates, Long Point occupies a premier location on a private peninsula surrounded by the glistening waters of the Navesink River. Offering a rare sense of seclusion, yet convenient to the charming town center and the area’s beautiful ocean beaches, the grounds afford wondrous vistas of the river – a wide bay-like estuary bordered on the north shore by the Monmouth Hills – one of the highest elevations along the eastern coastline. The estate, set amid 10.4 acres stretched along the south bank of the river, is introduced by stately gates and a 1/3 mile-long private drive that gracefully wends thru the beautifully-planted grounds to the grand Shingle-Style residence that serves as the centerpiece of the property. In addition to a guest cottage, the Peter Cummin-designed landscape also features extensive recreational amenities including a heated pool with spa, expansive terraces accented with twin belvederes, a fire pit and a distinctive pergola; a boat lift, private dock and sandy beach. A masterwork of Shingle-Style architecture, Long Point was designed by the esteemed architectural firm of Shope Reno Wharton and completed in 2004. Widely acclaimed for their unique take on classical architecture, the firm designed Long Point to take best advantage of its exceptional setting, following the natural scape of the river to create an immensely fluid design brimming with architectural surprises. Boldly scaled with nearly 18,000 square feet on two main levels and an additional 7200 square feet on the lower level, the home impresses with its understated elegance offering a myriad of warm and inviting rooms easily adaptable to both grand entertaining and more intimate gatherings.Soaring ceilings, unique windows, vast archways, barrel ceilings and the abundant use of columns are among the many resplendent details displayed throughout the residence, which employs classical rotundas on each floor to ensure an effortless flow throughout the home. But perhaps most memorable are the stunning river vistas that grace virtually every room of the home – a dramatic and ever-changing waterscape that delights throughout the seasons. Beautifully designed and masterfully crafted, Long Point offers the best of luxury living in a truly sublime waterfront setting.

Hello once again from Michael.

This one I just wrote about on my blog, and someone wanted to see it here also, and it is a very interesting property, so here you go!

It is a new construction, and you find it in Water Mill, NY. It offers approximately 12,000 sq ft with 8 bedrooms, 8 full and a half bath. It sits on approximately 6.5 acres.

A 2-story foyer with two staircases. There is a living room both upstairs and downstairs. They both look very nice.

I noticed that parquet de Versailles is being used here, and it does look nice, but here you also have it in a bathroom. I do not like it, I think it looks silly. But the new owners might love it.

The kitchen looks great. I would want to keep it just as it looks now.

This looks like a good second home, you go here when you want to escape from the busy streets in the big city. Enjoy some ocean air. Get some French toast and sit outside with your morning coffee and just relax.

Asking price $8,900,000

This exquisite mansion, which is located near the Grand English Lakefront Manor I did a post on, is on the market for a reasonable $6,500,000. That is quite cheap compared to the $18,500,000 price tag of the lakefront English Manor.

This home is located at 6100 Seascape Court in Flower Mound, TX. It was built in 2004 and boasts 17,740 square feet of living space with 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a grand entry way with side staircase, a 2-story great room with piano, a formal dining room, a gourmet kitchen with oval island, a home office, a gym, a movie theater, a screened in area with grill and fireplace, an elevator to 3rd floor observation deck,  a separate entrance apartment, indoor putting green & driving range (which is the first I’ve seen in a home, pretty cool!), an entertainment suite with kitchen & dance floor, a game room,  a negative edge swimming pool, ponds, brooks, bridges, waterfalls, a walking path, and gardens. This home has it all!
