Hello from Michael.

What do you think about this one? It is waterfront house in the fashionable suburb of Djursholm, which is outside Stockholm.  It was built in 1905, and totals about 945 sqm, approximately 12,268 sq ft.  The waterfront lot is approximately 0.94 acres. Room for heavy-weight boats up to 140 tons, according to the property description.

The owner  has spent a lot of money restoring this house.  It offers a classical “old world” interior. This is not for the one who wants a modern palatial residence, but if you like the old style, this might just be your favorite new home. Foreign diplomats like these kinds of houses. And in Scandinavia it is usually an embassy who can afford to pay the asking price, which in this case is about 6.5-7.5 million euros, I have been told.

The kitchen is designed to look like the one in an old castle, and it has a tile stove from the 18th century.

The guy a house or two away is one of Russia’s wealthiest men, who has a Swedish wife. Many wealthy people live around here, and an ambassador or two.
