This European estate just hit the market in Raleigh, NC. Located at 1404 Barony Lake Way, this almost 18,000 square foot mansion is listed at $8,175,000 (which is way overpriced for the Raleigh area). The home boasts 7 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, grand floating staircase, a 2-story great room, 2 kitchens, a wine cellar, a gym, a home theater, an indoor racquetball court, a heated saltwater pool, a tennis court, and a 6-car garage. The current owner is Sanjay Mundra who owns the Soleil Group. Thanks to Russell for the tip!

    $8 million for North Carolina?
    Ha.
    Daydreamer.
I really don’t think these people have gotten the memo that the real estate market and the credit market has tanked in this country.
Maybe $3.5 million on a good day.

Venom- I live by this house and know alot about the area. This house was appraised for $5.7 million. But it should be listed around $5.5 million.

      So I was correct.
My house was appraised for $1.7 million, but I bet you I would be lucky to get $1.1 to $1.2 million, maybe even less.

    Guys,
I was part of the construction of this estate. This estate has Over 25,000 Sq Ft under roof with many unique features. I know for a fact that the cost was in excess of 9 Million. I am not an expert in appraisal or market conditions. One has to see it to beleive it! It is a shame it will be sold for less than cost!!
I guess that is the economy!!!
We good luck to the owner

The interior and the location definitely don’t justify the outrageous price…

Hey Guys, this home is one by Sanjay Mundra. Unfortunately he is known as the biggest laughing stock in the triangle. And is being sued left and right for millions of dollars. Makes sense if you look at the house and see why they are letting go of the house for less then half of whta it is worth. Check to make sure there are no liens on the house as well. This man Sanjay is not to be trusted. Just Google his name and see for yourself. Just 2 days ago, it was reposrted that he owes Regions bank $6.8 million, and that does not include all of his properties that have been foreclosed. Also, he owns the Micro-Mart on New Bern Avenue, yes the one that had NO gasoline for over 6 months since he would no pay Marathon Oil for all he gas he purchased. Now he only sells regular gasoline and has done that by swindling money also. If you need to contact Sanjay directly, call (919) 231-0002 and ask for him or his confidante, Bilail Ahmed.
