This newly constructed French Chateau is located in Old Brookville, NY. What I like about this home is that it blends old world craftsmanship with modern technology. I love the floating staircase with wrought iron railings as well as the 2-story great room. What I don’t like is how bland it is. I would love to see more color on the walls. However, there is one room that doesn’t lack color and that is the kitchen. It’s blue! I kind of like it, how about you guys? One thing that is for certain is that the dining room table and chairs are hideous! If I were the owner, I would get something that actually fits the room in terms of size and also buy something that looks a little less like it belongs in a castle.

The home also boasts a home theater and swimming pool with pool house. The 7 bedroom , 4.5 bathroom home is listed at $11,500,000.

It’s so plain looking… The only decent thing is the railing.

It seems to me, that a 7 bedroom house in the $11,500,000. 00 price range should have more than 4.5 baths.

Only way this is worth $11.5 million is if the land is worth about $9.5 million.

I can’t say I like the kitchen very much. It looks like it is basically all exposed shelving, no cabinets. Correct me if I’m wrong.

This house has a really bad layout downstairs. To me its expected that all 7 bedrooms should have there own bathrooms, especially in an 11 million dollar house!

i just gave this place 3 stars on accident. it’s definitely a 1er. not only does the bathroom count defy human logic but the kitchen is flat out moronic. it’s completely against taste…literally! Ever wonder why 90% of restaurant signs are colored in tan/red/yellow? Because those colors entice appetites. Blue does not and is one of the tackiest colors to give a kitchen. at least it’s not neon green because that’s really the only worse color out there.
railing sucks too. looks like dried noodles. and why, oh why, would you place recliners in that position for the theater?? it’s a huge room and we’re forcing one viewer to view the screen sideways. i guarantee you this place wasn’t as plain when the realtor showed up. agent probably did everything he could to clear out the other atrocities we don’t see before his photographer showed up.

  • I have seen this house when they started marketing it. An agent said it was one of the top 100 luxury new estates in the US. It looks like a place I would like to visit.

The kitchen looks like Wedgewood china and that is not a good thing.
