John Finton is the owner of Finton Construction, a Los Angeles firm that has about 30 luxury projects under construction at a time. Him and his company have built some of the most impressive homes in Southern California, especially in the Beverly Hills area. His firm built Haim Saban’s house in Beverly Park, Alec Gores’ house in Beverly Park, Eddie Murphy’s house in Beverly Park, and many many others. He estimates his firm does about $70 million in annual construction sales. Not only does he build homes in the USA, but he also plans and builds massive estates in other countries.

His firm is building a 60,000 square foot, yes folks 60,000, mega-mansion in Moscow, Russia. The massive home, which is being built for a very very rich woman, will include a wine cellar, a swimming pool, and a bowling alley.

Champ D’or, the 48,000 square foot Mega Chateau, is now listed with Briggs Freeman. The asking price? A steal at $27 million and far less than what it had originally been listed at! The home, which is located at 1851 Turbeville Road in Hickory Creek, TX, was first listed at $48 million over 6 years ago. Then the price went to $35 million, then to $59.55 million, then to $72 million, then to $65.5 million, and now to its current price. What a real estate roller coaster ride! I have a feeling though that the home will still not sell. Over the years, the Realtors that have listed this home have spent close to $350,000 advertising it and even throwing large parties. Mr. Goldfield apparently put $36 million into the house, so if the home sells at this price, he will actually lose money.

The magnificent Lake Carrington Estate, which spans over 26,000 square feet,  is officially back on the market. Built by Antares Development back in 2007, this grand colonial is located on Langhorne Lane in Greenwich, CT. The home was originally listed for $28,000,000 back in 2007. The price for the estate now is almost a whopping 50% lower at $14,500,000. The home’s interior is unfinished, leaving the potential buyer to customize it any way that they want to. Cherry Hills Village is known for its breathtaking, humongous, and expensive homes. This one, which is located at 5000 E Quincy Ave, was just recently listed for a whopping $22,900,000. It is now the priciest home on the market in the Cherry Hills Village area. With over 21,000 square feet of living space, 6 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms,  and a magnificent 2-story wood paneled great room, this home is truly amazing. The gated estate sits on a very large lot and includes its own private man made pond.
