Hi, it’s Alan Robinson again, guest blogging. I live in Minnesota, and I wanted to share this home with all of you.

The home is the former residence of Twin Cities car dealer Denny Hecker. He ran into financial troubles in 2009, and had to file for bankruptcy. The home is on the market for $5.6 million. It is 17,251 square feet. It includes an indoor swimming pool, and an indoor half-court basketball court.  The address is 1492 Hunter Drive, Medina, Minnesota.

Here is the listing:

    Absolutely perfect home.
Great location, nice set-up, nice indoor pool and basketball court and nice lake.
The price is not too bad either.

This house was built by a prominent Heart Surgeon. I went to High School with his son, now also a Heart Surgeon. They lived there for about 10 years but sold it when the Dr was diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer.

They sold the house to Denny Hecker for who removed the Brick exterior, added the stone. He also removed part of the 16 car garage (the Dr was a big car collector) and added the Basket ball court.

Denny Hecker also added the second Swimming pool, the indoor one. The Dr and his wife have a larger home in North Scottsdale so they were able to swim there all winter.

TCF Bank Foreclosed Denny Hecker out when he was having his legal troubles and they resold it.
