I can’t figure how some of these people will build a house like this, taking 2 or 3+ years to do so from design to completion, and then they end up selling a year later.

Why is it for sale, you ask? Most likely for the same reason so many of the super rich have put their homes on the market in the last year. They got squeezed by the market crash, lost a lot of their wealth, and now have most of their remaining wealth tied up in non liquid assets like homes, land, etc….This guy may be worth millions, but that doesn’t mean he has millions. Big difference. I find it hard to believe he would sell it basically without having lived in it for a year for any other reason than needing the $$. Picked a helluva time to try and dump it, however.

    Kev,

More than likely is has to do with the fact that his wife is tired of being disrespected by the blond tramp Kim on the Real Housewives of Atlanta and she is finally going forward with the divorce.
He is also a real estate developer and this is what he does, try to make a profit on his real estate.

he is just trying to make the profit.. and he is not going to divorce his wife for that blonde 🙂 it’s all made up..

I agree with Venom . He’s been cheating on his wife for 2 or 3 years at least . What the funny thing to me is , is that his home was just shown on MTV Teen Cribs and was featured in a movie . I wonder how his kids are dealing with leaving their home and dealing with the mistress .

I’m 99.9% sure Najjar’s home was featured in the movie Zombieland being used as Bill Murray’s house.
I know Zombieland was filmed in Atlanta, and in the movie, the scene in which the 4 main characters enter the home, the foyer looks exactly like Najjars’ with the sweeping staircase and intricate coffered ceiling with the formal hallway crossing in front.
Has anyone else seen the movie that concurs?

Never watched that show, never will. I may be wrong, but considering the state of real estate right now, I will stick by my original comment. I don’t know anything about his personal life and could not care less who Kim is, but I will maintain that he needs that cash flow. Almost all of these guys leverage and extend themselves to their limits and beyond during the good times. The crashes happen and they have no real cash, at least not in the amounts they need to function in their over the top lifestyles. If I am wrong, I will gladly admit it, maybe it’s because of the affair or whatever is going on with his life. Regardless, he will not sell that house for 25 million anytime soon. More than likely, he will sell it at a loss. This isn’t 2007 anymore.

I completely agree with Kevin. No one sells a newly completed property like this unless they’re having cash flow problems … especially someone in real estate who knows that they’re going to end up losing on it. Yes, divorce may be a factor, but there must more to it than that. I must copy the quote and say, “This isn’t 2007 anymore.”

I happen to know this crowd, and he is in a cash crunch. He leveraged everything to build it, and now he gonna lose. Wife is leaving him, and taking a big cunch of change with her. Kim is a hooker, and hooker need money for there services. She will leave him when she see’s he not as BIG as he used to be. Aint life a bitch.

Funny, this home was built in 1912 and purchased on 10/11/2004 for $2,740,000. It’s estimated worth is $14 Million. $25M is a bit much in this economy. He really has some Chutzpah asking that price for it.

There is no such thing as disproving a fact. Facts are very stubborn things. The fact is Lee Najjar is not the superior interest in the chain of title or the true owner of this property.

well…..it’s really sad to see that they have to build houses this huge to fit the size of their EGOS through the door. Pathetic use of money, when it could go to some wonderful sources that would really make a difference in millions of people’s lives….yet it IS WHAT IT IS.
I would like to see this guy and his ex wife and his new gal pal go live in the slums of Atlanta for week and let’s see how they feel without any money, without their security and without a car or warm blankets…just a shack to live in….i wonder if their priorities would change?
I am SURE it would never happen anyways……but think about how much He could have done to help the slums of our own country, real PEOPLE…REAL HOUSEWIVES AND REAL POOR PEOPLE OF ATLANTA?

pATHETIC is what i call it….and heartbreaking as well to see such a huge ego go to waste.

well…..it’s really sad to see that they have to live in pathetic shacks to fit the size of their tiny EGOS through the door. ….yet it IS WHAT IT IS.

I would like to see these shack dwelling bums go live in the Lee Najjar’s mansion in Atlanta for a week and let’s see how they feel with all that money, with their security and a car and warm blankets…just a mansion to live in….I wonder if their priorities would change?

I am SURE it would never happen anyways……but I think he could do this help the slums of our own country, real PEOPLE…REAL HOUSEWIVES AND REAL POOR PEOPLE OF ATLANTA GET UP OFF YOUR ASSES AND EARN A LIVING LIKE THIS GREAT MAN?

PATHETIC is what I call the shack loving wasters….and heartbreaking as well to see such a huge mansion go to wasters if it ever did happen.

I’ve been in the home and it is gorgeous….I also think the affair may be not true…but she’s made the same mistake in the past. I hope they can work tings through and his “blond tramp” seriously is not at Lee’s caliber. I’ve spoke to her and she has a bad attitude and worse skin in person….icky.

This guy is a total piece of shit and doesn’t pay people money owed to them. Fuck his house. I hope he loses it.

The guy is a loser and a crook . . . misdirected bank funds to personal projects, and ripped off most if not all of his service providers. If this was New York, he would be on the bottom of the Hudson River.

No taste, and no ethics at all, and should be sent back via the banana boat he came here in.

And yes; he is a very small man, and if it were not for his wallet, women would laugh at his twitty face and the little stub between his fat liitle legs . . . . not that I have an opinion on him or anything.

Agree with the comments made by John Smith and Bob Smith. . . . he does not pay his service providers! And before you think of telling me I’m wrong. . . I worked for him, so I personally know the “very small man” doesn’t pay his bills! And as far as the comment made by “The Bitch is Back” saying that Najjar isn’t the owner. . . .all of Najjar’s properties (whether you are talking his shopping centers or his properties) are owned by an LLC. The LLC takes the name of the property address; and IF you take the time to research it, the bottom line is that Najjar is the owner of those LLC’s. He owes ALOT of people money ~ check out the State of Georgia’s Lien base. . .but then again you would have to know the name of all his properties! He’s a total piece of shit! (To quote Bob Smith “not that I have an opinion on him or anything”!!)

All of you with negative opinions need to go jump off of a very tall building. It’s always the broke people that have negative shit to say. When in actuality you wish you were in the position to afford the things these people have. It’s always ” I wonder how long he would last without all that money.” Well, he doesn’t have to, you do, so deal with it and shut the fuck up.

No Bryant, he really is that bad. But it’s starting to come back to haunt him now. He’s lost quite a bit and yes, he’s liquidating & robbing Peter to pay Paul. Best-

This house is really not that big. The front looks about like it did before he bought it. The back may be a bit larger. Larry Dean, who owns the REALLY BIG house on Old Alabama Rd, owned this house in the latter part of the ’90s. Judging from Najjar’s house in the country club in Alpharetta, this one is probably built poorly. It probably looks good in the pics, but if you get up close it’s not done right. His car collection IS nice though.
