I love how ultra religious Jews like to pardon each other for their blatant wrongdoings. The torah requires a Jew to be “don lekaf zechus” but it also says to admonish the evil doer, and in this case the facts are that he stole. He admitted that what he did was wrong, so stop giving him the benefit of the doubt. He is a prime example if what a Jew should not be, so if you would like to sugarcoat his predicament then educate others in being an ethical Jew and making a Kiddush Hashem.

why do you have to make excuses for this kind of behavior. It is plain and simple, stealing is wrong according to the government and the Torah. I don’t care if the money is “staring me in the face” that serves no excuse to steal it. It’s nice to see the good in people, but to twist it around and say yes he stole and is going to jail BUT out of the “goodness” of his heart he didn’t want to rat out other people involved. Give me a break. He deserves everything coming to him, no excuses period.

I could not agree more…They are a nice family and he is going to jail strictly not to rat out others. Yes he played a scam but let’s be honest…How many of us would turn down an opportunity for large sums of money when it shows up at our front door. I feel bad mostly for the kids since they are all really good people and dont need any more hate from your comments. As a Jew you should all be a bit more understanding.

Wow it seems like people will jump to any conclusions just to post a comment. If any of you know his situation you might find that the reason he is going to jail for so long is because he did not want to snitch on the other people involved in this scam. The money he earned to build this house was honest money he earned from his physician practice and if anyone understands anything about medicad fraud you will find that there is no one that is not guilty of this crime. You will also find that aside for an extravagant house they do not live that type of lifestyle and his wife has a non-for profit organization that helps out children from all communities and not just in the Jewish community.
So again before you negative people just quickly slam someone protecting yourself behind a computer screen please think and KNOW the details

That man is a gonif and has been in the courts so many times making a chilul Hashem with his business ginavos etc.

He brought it all on himself. He and his wife did everything they could to show off constantly. Who in their right mind would build a house like they did?! Just to take everyones eyes out!

When you make your money with ginavisheh shtick, eventually it catches up with you.

The chilul Hashem is disgusting. Let them walk around in Monsey now shamed.

Any money they may have given to tzedakah was from ill gotten and stolen money. There is no mitzvah in that.

Shame on them both, but everything comes around.

It seems like people want to stuff as much opulense and bling into their homes as they can. Sometimes it seems like these people are dilusional, thinking that their home is an actual palace where the king lives. It's not. You'd think that in a time when the economy is slumping, that people wouldn't decorate their homes like this.

The outside is fantastic though!!
