This custom all brick manor is a builder’s own home and is located on 10 beautiful acres of land. Generally when you hear “Kentucky”, mansions don’t come to your mind, but there are plenty of large estates in and around Lexington. The home spans over 10,000 square feet and includes the finest materials around. It has extensive limestone accenting, crown moldings, and coffered ceilings. The 6 bedroom, 7 bathroom mansion contains a magnificent gourmet kitchen with double refrigerators and thermador appliances, 1st floor master bedroom, cherry wood office, 4 fireplaces, and a double bridal staircase. The home is located in a gated subdivision that offers 24 hr. security.

Clearly you've never been to Lexington KY. This is Horse Capital of the World. There are bigger and nicer homes then that in this Multi-Horse Town. You Should get out more. 🙂
    Check this link for example.

They may be nice homes, but I don't think Lexington will make any record-breaking sales compared to the rest of the country.

What does having a lot of horses have to do with having nicer houses?

Maintaining multiple horses can be ludicrously expensive, especially if you're planning to race them. A single thoroughbred horse can cost hundreds of thousands or even a million dollars.

It thus makes sense to assume that someone who owns several of these horses is likely to own a fairly nice and expensive home.

I promise, if any one of you takes a trip to Lexington- or even a surrounding county, like Jessamine, Woodford, and Bourbon county- you will see some of the world’s most amazing architecture. There are more 11,000+ sq. Ft. Homes in this area than most people know about. It’s pretty normal to always be within a two minute drive of a spectacular home. I’m surprised there are not that many homes from this area featured on this web site!
